Downhearted and Crestfallen (poem)
Downhearted and Crestfallen
The deadly violence, the screaming in your ears
the monsters that make movies
the passion that brings you fear
the violence that take place in the home
you know you're not alone
as your fears crawl across the floor
you feel that you want to break the door
just screaming, to get away
from the words that brings you pain
the vengeance, that split the sound in your tears
the death, that demands for you to care
it doesn't matter if your dead, anymore
to the sound that kicks the floor
as you listen to the screams, down the hall
you feel dead to the call of the fall
to hear the hands that hits the flesh
what the hell do you have left
to understand what you did wrong
parents always knew they were wrong
a moment that tears you apart,
the heart that gives you art,
the pain that flows for years,
do we ever think that people care
If the world ends tomorrow,
would you tell me that you cared
would you care if I told you that I loved you
would you fall to tears
if our feeling meant nothing today
than what do we have for tomorrow
sorry I didn't tell you I loved you
here goes my sorrow
